Action thriller made based on a video game under the same title is now being screened in Colombo and outstation theatres.
Released simultaneous to the worldwide release, the film started screening on December 21 in Sri Lanka.
Directed by Justin Kurzel, the film narrates the story of Callum Lynch who explores the memories of his ancestor Aguilar and gains the skills of a Master Assassin. He discovers he is a descendant of the secret Assassins society.
The film stars Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons and it is imported by CEL.
Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organisation in the present day.
