Unilever becomes strategic partner of University of Kelaniya

The University of Kelaniya’s Department of Marketing signed an MOU with Unilever Sri Lanka last week at the university premises in Kelaniya, as a strategic partner of the department.
The MOU focuses on the Certified Professional Marketing Graduate (CPMG) qualification offered by the Marketing Department and Unilever Sri Lanka, as a strategic partner, will recognise graduates who obtain the qualification requirements. These students would also have access to Unilever’s industrial training.
In its path for crafting strategists, the university marketing unit gives priority to academic and extra-curricular activities of the students. The department says it is unique among the other departments in the university system because it offers two diplomas, viz. Diploma in People Skills and Diploma in Enterprise Resource Planning, in addition to the undergraduate degree. In order to differentiate the graduates who are qualifying in all three programmes, Kelaniya Marketing has initiated to offer a unique tag called “CPMG (Certified Professional Marketing Graduate)”.
