The Elvis Presley Enterprises has declared January 8 as this year’s Elvis birthday celebrations at Graceland, the home of Presley in Memphis, Tennessee.The 80th birthday celebration started on January 5th and the final event will be held on 8th.
As usual thousands of fans from around the world gather at Graceland to take part in various exciting activities arranged by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. such as guest speakers who share their stories about meeting Elvis, and much more. There is something for every Elvis fan. It has always been an exciting atmosphere to be in that Elvis Presley Splendour at Graceland. It is said this is the world’s biggest birthday celebration, because it has been celebrated by the thousands around the world, each year.
Again this year’s charity will be The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation, which supports various charitable organisations such as arts, education and children’s programmes, including the Elvis Presley Endowed Scholarship Fund at the College of Communication and Fine Arts in the University of Memphis to assist students majoring in areas related to Elvis’ own career: music, film, television, theatre, etc.
Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation also supports the famous Elvis Presley Truma Centre, a Class One medical facility in the mid-south, which has operating theatres, ICUs, and also two stand-by helicopters to transport patients needing urgent attention.
Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation is, by far, the largest charitable organisation funded by any celebrity. Elvis always said, his wealth came from the record-buying public. So, he wanted to return part of his wealth back to the people by way of various charities supported by Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation. Elvis was a great philanthropist.
