‘Rekava’ celebrates 60 years

‘Rekava’ (Line of Destiny), the groundbreaking cinematic venture of Dr. Lester James Peries celebrates 60 years and a festival has been organised on January 29 and 30.
The celebration will be held at 6.30 pm at Regal cinema with the participation of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesighe.
‘Rekhawa’ was the turning point of Sri Lanka’s film journey and various events and programmes have been organised to celebrate it. The film will be screened at Regal cinema on January 29 and 30 and there will be a special show for schoolchildren at 8.30 am. The tickets are priced at Rs. 100.
