A knock of 138 by Pasindu Sooriyabandara for Royal and a 91 by Movin Subasinghe for Wesley were the highlights of the drawn Under-19 inter-school cricket encounter between Royal and Wesley concluded at the SSC grounds yesterday.

The morning session of play on day two saw Pasindu’s ton helping Royal make a formidable 317 for 9 declared and Wesley in reply were 204 for 7 when bad light stopped proceedings.

St. Joseph’s dominated their drawn match against S. Thomas’ which ended at Darley Road yesterday. S. Thomas’ in reply to the Josephians score of 217 declared their innings having made 161 for 9 from their overnight score of 13 for 3.

Sri Prangnananda MMV Raddoluwa recorded a first inning win over Veluwana MV Colombo in the match played at Raddoluwa.

In the matches which began yesterday saw Gurukula MV Kelaniya ending the day in a strong position against St. Sylvester’s at Kurunegala.
