Teledrama director Pradeep Dharmadasa’s latest teledrama “Greenlands” or ‘Bonchigedara Indrajalaya’ is now being telecast every weekday on ITN channel. Featuring stories that come across in the world renowned fairy tales and timeless fables, the teleplay narrates around a group of children attached to a remote school.

Grade 7B class in the school ‘Haritha Bhoomi’  has a notorious group of children. They are behind every mischievous happening in the school. Fed up by the  unending complaints against the pupils, the teacher in charge of the class leaves the school. The school administration has to fill the vacant post of the class teacher of Grade 7 B. The principal of the school, Sooriyakanthi Gunasekara (Hycinth Wijeratne), selects the application of Pankaja Serasinghe (Pradeep Dharmadasa) to fill the vacancy of the class teacher.  Pankaja, a young creative writer is to be in charge of physical training, extracurricular activities and is to teach creative communication as a subject.

The very day reports to school, Pankaja comes across a funny yet problematic situation. The school security finds that someone has changed the padlock of the main gate. As usual Grade 7B is responsible for this too.

As soon as Pankaja take over the class he realizes that the pupils in Grade 7B are not ordinary set of children. They are highly talented, extremely creative and most of them are fluent in their English.

While contemplating on how to discipline the Grade 7B using their own creativity, the teacher comes across the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. The story inspires him with a plan to control and discipline the children. Other roles of the teleplay is played by Nirosha Thalaga, Kumari Munasinghe, Prasadini Atapattue, Rodney Warnakula, Ludmila Kirillowa and a group of child stars including Maleesha Mihisara, Vihanga Nadith Thathsilu, Senuka Bimisen, Pasala Heechin and Chethana Dineth.
