Young musician  Niranjan Bibile (28) is excited about  plans to release some new tracks and to give his fans a taste of his latest work. A believer in creating unique music, Niranjan had a headstart in putting songs together from a very young age as young as 13 he tells us adding that he tried to replicate the sounds of the 80’s and the 90’s that he grew up with.

Back in school he was more of a sportsman than a musician. So the real transformation, from music being just a hobby, to him following his passion as a musician took place in 2009. Ever since then he has not looked back and has been creating music and improving with every song he writes.

This month is plans to make his next album release. He tells us his song writing is inspired by what he feels on a daily basis, be it love, anger or even a day of celebration, it’s all from the heart for him. In addition to that, the biggest inspiration is his musical journey, from where he started in 2009 to where he is today, that gives him inspiration.  Music to Niranjan is a way of expressing his feelings, a way of coping with the stress & pressure of life. In his own words, music is the journal to his life.

When it comes to genre, he has not restricted himself to one genre because he likes to experiment with his music. “Now the music industry is very competitive so sticking to one genre gives you a limited working space, I like to be open-minded and try out new ways of writing and singing. Hence I don’t restrict myself to one genre”, he emphasized.

For Niranjan choosing to be a musician has proved to be a bit of a taboo. “That’s the biggest challenge I have had to face when I started. I do agree it’s costly and hard to start a career in music full time but you can always do with another job. There is a lot of sacrifice involved, but when you make it, it’s always worth it.”

The young musician points out that putting a song together on paper is different from actually recording and bring it to life, adding that  funding is always another challenging not to mention the competition faced in the industry itself. “There are so many musicians coming up with so many songs everyday so to be on top and be noticed is a hard task.”

Niranjan is currently working on a couple of tracks in Sinhala that will be ready towards the end of this year with shows planned for 2018.
