SL Air Force records first win in women’s club football
View(s):Sri Lanka Air Force beat Sri Lanka Police 3-0 in the Division One Women’s Club Football Championship at the Air Force ground, Ekala recently. This was the inaugural game of this tournament for 2017.
In another match of the same competition between Sri Lanka Army and the Sri Lanka Navy which ended in a nil all draw at the Welisara Navy ground. The next match in the competition will be on February 14 between Police and Army at the Police ground, Bambalapitiya
Four teams are taking part in the tournament. They are: Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Air Force and Sri Lanka Police. The tournament is being conducted by the Football Federation of Sri Lanka.
The following scored the goals in the Air Force vs Police game. Rabnika Gunasekera scored in the 19th minute for Police. The second goal was by Solomi Francis in the 59th minute and the third goal was by Ashani Ratnayake in the 76th minute. - SP
