A different from his earlier theatrical presentation–‘Suddek Oba Amathai” (A White Man Addresses You) “Rangapem Ivaral” (Adieu to Acting) and “Pem Yuwalak One Kara Thibe” (Wanted a Pair of Lovers) in ‘Thunsiya Hetaeka 361’ playwright Wickremaratne
offers a new structure and content for Sri Lanka theatre lovers.
‘Thunsiya Hetaeka 361’ exposes the true colours of the mass media which is supposedly dedicated to bring the truth to the people contributes in concealing and distancing the truth from the people. ‘Thunsiya Heta-eka 361’ deals with the naivety and shallowness of the people who sit in a chair in their living room and believe they can change the course of politics through engaging with what appears on a TV screen.
Music is by Lalith de Silva, set designing by Llewellyn Vanderwall, costume design by Nipuni Preksha Mendis, lighting by Mihindu Madhushanka and stage management is by Sumedha Prasanna.
