Now the men in the Citadel are on to another scandal. The cars and the vans are the problem. The numbers are on the screen for everyone to know. Yet, the only problem is the people who are using them are not eligible to use them because they are there to do a voluntary job. Nevertheless, eight of those henchmen are given unlimited fuel and the company vehicles to use. Some who are given two vehicles are used by the voluntary officers wives.
We thought that it was against the prevailing law to misuse official vehicles.
NO MORE FINGERING
A top selector of a leading sport rushed down from an overseas tour to hand over his resignation stating that there are too many individuals dabbling in his affairs. Several behind the scene moves had been made and he has been given the assurance that there will be ‘no more fingering’ of this nature. Apparently he has agreed to continue his work unabated and the fact that he had resigned earlier is now been clouded.
THE KNEE GUARD ISSUE
The game played with a ball and net by lasses was in the limelight as a player who had done a great deal to bring the game forward was recently forced to resign by a senior official. In fact this official had stormed into the court and had told the player concerned that she should resign with immediate effect as she was wearing a knee guard and players who are injured have no right to be in the squad which is training for a competition abroad. This player had complained to the authorities concerned and now an inquiry is on.
FOLLOWING PAST PROCEDURES?
A one man disciplinary committee is to take a decision on an individual who had been rude to the boss of the sport. This individual had complained to the authorities concerned about this one man commission. Some years ago a one man commission was appointed to probe into a matter of the same sport. Are the present authorities trying to follow past procedures?
IN DEEP TROUBLE
The sport that is involved motor racing and doing cross country races is apparently in deep trouble as their officials are constantly seen at the headquarters obviously trying to curry favour with the Boss. The reason could be attributed that they had not shown what had become of the monies they had raised at such events and there are no records whatsoever.
NOT COMING FORWARD?
The sport that is involved in running and jumping has been asked to hold their AGM soon and the present boss of the sport, who apparently hails from the cool climes, has not been nominated for the sport as it is said that he has done practically done nothing to improve it. In desperation he has tried to come to the election through his old association but old association has laid down strict rules which do not agree with him. So it looks as if he will not come forward to the election at all!
THE THAMASHA SEASON IS ON
They are there lock stock and barrel — now Down Under. They are there looking for charity. Not only the henchmen, but, even their wives are on the joy ride. Yet, they say the expenses will be covered by the aid bill itself. Oh! what a luxurious life.
They one such person who is there have left behind job half done. It is a ladies thing that involves the core of women in the given sport.
