Let’s talk about Sarachchandra’s plays

An Evening of Theatre Appreciation is scheduled for this month’s Monthly Theatre Chat House on Tuesday, February 28 at 4. 30 p.m. at the Namel Malini Punchi Theatre at Borella.
Prof. Ediriweera Sarachchandra’s plays come up for discussion with special emphasis on his scripts prescribed in schools. The panel will comprise Prof. K.N.O.Dharmadasa, Dr. Susil Siriwardena, Jayantha Aravinda, Sugath Watagedera and Nissanka Diddeniya. Namel Weeramuni initiates the discussion.
Entrance is free and the discussion will be conducted in all three languages, Sinhala, Tamil and English. There will be refreshments at the Rehearsal Hall after. The Namel Malini Punchi Theatre’s aim is to encourage audiences towards a good and serious theatre culture. They hope to engage students of theatre in schools and Universities in order to provide a wider and better knowledge and education in this field.
