Sri Rahula lead in Big Match
View(s):Sri Rahula obtained a 14 run lead over Wariyapola Sumangala on the first innings in their 19th Big Match at Pallekelle.
Off spinner Madushan Paranavithane had an excellent game, returning match figures of 5 for 37 and 4 for 30. Dilshan Kumara batted with patience to top score for Sri Rahula with 43. Skipper Diliesha Madushanka, who had made 148 earlier in the season, was sent as low as number eight. However he came up with a sprightly knock of 29.
Isuru Kulatunga had the best figures of 3 for 10, while Wijesiri and Bandara ended with two wickets each
Sumangala fared slightly better in their second innings thanks to useful knocks from Nipun Karunatilleke and Avishka Pushpakumara.
