St. Sebastian’s dominate drawn game
St. Sebastian’s Katuneriya dominated proceedings in their inaugural Battle of Sea Gulls big match against St. Peter’s Negombo concluded at Kadirana yesterday.
The second day’s play saw St. Peter’s in reply to the Sebs score of 282 for 9 declared were bowled out for 173 and made to follow-on with a deficit of 109 runs escaped as they ended the day on 86 for 8.
Half tons by Nimesh Chathuranga, skipper Raveen Yasas and Pathum Madusanka saw Devapathiraja MMV Rathgama taking first lease of the wicket amass a score of 414 against Madampa MMV who ended day one on 40 for 4 in the inaugural Battle of the Brothers big match played at Rathgama.
