‘Bandanaya’, a newest movie to hit the theatres will revolves around black magic and dangerous outcome it create on people.
Directed by Udayakantha Warnasuriya, the film stars a seasoned cast including Cyril Wickremage, Hemal Ranasinghe, Suweenitha Weerasinghe, Dulani Anuradha, Saheli Satharasinghe, Nilmini Tennakone, Ravindra Yasas, Priyankara Ratnayake, Liyoni Kotelawela, Wilmon Sirimanne, Somaweera Gamage, Sudam Katukithule, Udayakumari Ranasinghe, Ranjith Rubasinghe and Ariyasena Gamage.
Menikhami and Dingirala are cousins and two families are having a long animosity over property issue. Using his knowledge on black magic, Menikhami kills Dingirala. The rivalry doesn’t end there. One day Dingirala’s granddaughter is bitten by a serpent and she was rushed to Menikhami who is also a well-known for his treatments for snakebites.
While healing the little girl from the snake bite, Menikhami make a dead spirit get into her body. This is done to destroy the entire family of Dingirala.
Cinematography handled by K. D. Dayananda, editing and sound mixing is by Praveen Jayaratne and musical score is by Nandun Ratnayake. Make up by Jayantha Ranawaka, art director Aruna Dias, and assistant director is Donald Jayantha.
The film is distributed by Cinema Entertainment Limited and the film is now being screened at CEL circuit cinemas around the country.
