Yatiyana YCC overall winners richer by Rs 250K

Yatiyana YCC emerged overall winners in the recent ‘JAT Cricket Vasanthaya 2017’ Softball Cricket Tournament held in Nuwara Eliya during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year season, taking home the Division I prize of Rs 250,000.
Organised by the Sri Lanka Softball Cricket Federation (SLSCF,) this eventful Tournament was conducted from April 16-22 at the Nuwara Eliya Municipal Grounds. It was sponsored by JAT Holdings, reiterating its commitment towards the uplift of sports within the local communities.
A total of 170 teams from all corners of Sri Lanka competed, which attracted droves of Cricket enthusiasts. Softball Cricket has gained momentum as a national sport, due to the passion Cricket generates among the locals. More like a religion, than a mere sport, Cricket has fired the spirit of a faithful following from adolescents to senior citizens.
