Abducted child found with uncle in Batti
View(s):The three-year-old boy who was abducted early this week, was found in the Urukamam area in Batticaloa yesterday, Gampola Police said.
A special unit of the Gampola police found the child in an abandoned house at 10.30 a.m., and arrested a 25-year-old youth, under suspicion.
Two others were also remanded in Kattankudy police station- a 26-year-old youth who allegedly made the phone call to the family, demanding Rs three million in ransom, and a 30-year-old person.
According to the complaint, the mother had requested her brother, the 25-year-old youth arrested under suspicion, to deliver lunch to her husband, and to take her three-year-old son along, to see his father.  The three-year-old boy’s maternal uncle had arrived from Badulla, for surgery at the Kandy hospital, and was temporarily staying with his sister’s family in Gampola,
