Dialog powers annual developer conference
View(s):Dialog Exiata PLC in collaboration with Google Developer Group (GDG) Sri Lanka presented the ‘Google I (annual developer conference) Extended’ for the first time in Sri Lanka in 2016, which was the largest extended event happening outside the US and held for the second time in Sri Lanka this year.
Dialog Axiata powered the country’s biggest tech innovation event ‘Google I/O Extended’ (annual developer conference) which was held on May 17 at the BMICH in Colombo. Supun Weerasinghe, Group Chief Executive, Dialog Exiata PLC at the media briefing said that they are in the forefront of introducing technology and pioneers in instituting the best in technology. In 1995 he said that they have introduced GSM mobile network providing a platform for Sri Lankan talent that is in abundance. Ideamart is a world stage that they have opened up and through it they have won many awards, including the GSMA award in 2015. He said that security is very important these days and thus they pay lot of attention to security. He said Sri Lanka has been adopting rapidly to the mobile connectivity in South-East Asia and said that way back in 2013 when he was involved in the GSM Association – within the GSM Organization Vision 2020 they created IoT (Global mobile to mobile SIMs with pay=as-you-go pricing).
