A.M.P. Alahakoon of Ambagahalanda watte, Yakkala, has been appointed a Justice of Peace for the Whole Island. He took his oaths before the Additional District Judge Gampola on May 26.
An old boy of Ku/ Pothuhera Dutugamanu MMV, he served for 41 years in the Postal Department and retired as Controller of Money Order Services.
After retirement he joined the Anagarika Dharmapala Trust at Maradana and served as administrative secretary for three years. He is now serving as Senior Mediator of the Gampaha District Mediation Board and also as an Advisor of the Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation.
Gamini Munasinghe
Gamini Munasinghe Samayawardena of No. 516/28, Bandarawatta, Weliveriya took his oaths as Justice of the Peace All Island before Additional District Judge, Gampaha A.M.N.P. Amarasinghe at the District Courts, Gampaha recently.
He is an old boy of Kelaniya Gurukula Maha Vidyalaya. He served as a Warrant Officer of the Sri Lanka Air Force for 22 years and received six medals for his service.
He is the former President of the Weliveriya Colombo Private Bus Association and presently Managing Director of Udhara Motors.
