I’ll remember the times when you were always there for me,
You always made me as happy as can be,
That’s why today I want to say,
Thank you and Happy Father’s Day!
Thanks for reading to me before
I’d go to sleep,
Thanks for taking care of me when
mummy went overseas,
Thanks for taking me to some of the
best places on Earth,
You made my childhood full of mirth.
I’ll remember the times when you were always there for me,
My memories of you everlasting will be,
With me my love of you will always stay,
Even though you live so far away…

Travelling to space
Space is out of our planet earth. It is very dark black colour. We travel to space by a rocket. We cannot go to space without a rocket and also we must wear a space suit.
People who travel to space
are called astronauts. The first astronaut who landed on the moon was Neil Armstrong.
I would like to travel to space one day.

Credit cards
Are we for or against credit cards? Some people believe that credit cards are always bad to use. But there are numerous distinct advantages that a credit card can offer.
People who use credit cards derive many benefits. If you use a credit card cleverly than it is possible to borrow for no cost. We get extra protection on our purchases and even earn cashback or rewards for spending. When we have a card in our wallet, we don’t have to carry cash. If our credit card is lost or stolen, we can report it to the company. The company stops others from purchasing from our card. If we make a purchase with a credit card and do not get what we paid for, the credit card company will help us to solve the problem.
But there are some disadvantages also. The biggest disadvantage of credit cards is that they encourage people to spend money that they don’t have. Credit cards charge us an enormous amount of interest on each balance if you do not pay off at the end of each month. Credit cards issue a monthly spending limit. While they are mostly high, if you exceed it, you may face even bigger charges.
So, there are many benefits and disadvantages of using a credit card.
But if used wisely, you can make it a boon to your life, not a bane.

If I was a pilot
If I was a pilot, then surely I will fly a plane. I will also get a co-pilot for assistance. It would be scary for a pilot to fly a plane for the first time, but it will be fine later. And if I had practiced very well it will not be a doubt at all.
It also can be exciting to find a way to fly a plane.
What I don’t like about being a pilot is that I will have to work in an air-conditioned place. I really hate air-conditioners when I have been in a cool place for a long time. But still, I am looking forward to being in the cockpit.
I would really love to be a pilot but there is a problem. If something dangerous happens to the passengers, then I am responsible for it. Since that, I will really love to fly my own private plane.

The great accident
It was April 25, 2015. My father, mother, sister and I were going to Colombo for my sister’s swimming prizegiving at Bishop’s College. We left the house at five in the evening. We were very happy because my sister was getting the best prize, so my father told us that for dinner we could go to McDonald’s.
When the prizegiving finished it was 9.30 p.m. My father thought that McDonalds was to close at 10 p.m.,
so he was speeding and drove faster. We did not know that the lane we were going on was one-way. There were no vehicles on the road. When we were going further, suddenly a three-wheel knocked on our van. It left like a loaf of bread. My father tried to stop the van but it was too late.
One seat fell on my sister’s leg and my mother had knocked her head on the window. Her white and silver sari was covered with blood, red as wine.
A lot of people came and helped us. We took my mother to the hospital.
Finally, my happiest day became the saddest day in my life.
