Sinha SC beat Urban Youth by 90 runs

Sinha Sports Club Matale posted a 90 run win over Urban Youth Sports Club Matale in the final to lift Jayantha Ranhoti Memorial trophy at the Matale district inter club limited over cricket tournament 2017 concluded at Rangiri Dambulla international cricket stadium.
Elected to bat first Sinha SC with Chamila Prabashana leading the way with an elegant knock of 91 (6×6, 4×4) totalled 278/9 in their allotted 50 overs and then restricted Urban Youth SC to a score of 188 in 33 overs. K. Weerathunga 3/39 and T. Nipun 3/53 bowled well to share 6 wickets between them.
Sinha SC had the honour of winning all the individual honours that were on offer. Chamila Prabashana of Sinha SC was named the Best Batsman as well as the Man of the Tournament, while the award for the Best Bowler also went to Thiwanka Nipun of Sinha SC.
The tournament was organised and conducted by Matale district cricket association under the guidance of Sri Lanka cricket saw nine sports clubs in the district namely – Sinha SC, Urban Youth SC, Maroon SC, Rothmans SC, Malwaththa SC, Lucky Seven SC, Matale CC, Old Thomian SC and Matale youth SC taking part.
