Dr. Senthilverl: Biggest mover and shaker on the CSE
View(s):Dr. T. Senthilverl is still the ‘most active’ high net worth investor (HNWI) in the Colombo stock market this year, trading data say.
The media-shy medical doctor has been trading in the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) for decades. He’s the major voting shareholder of The Finance Company ((TFC) with 9.85 per cent as at March 31. Six years ago he invested Rs. 500 million in the share issue of The Finance Ltd.
Possibly in the top two HNWIs in the CSE, he entered the top 20 shareholder’s list at Expolanka Holdings PLC during the first quarter of this year. He had six million shares and was at number 10 with 0.31 per cent at Expolanka PLC.
At Printcare PLC he owns 23.9 per cent and at Sunshine Holdings he’s the topmost shareholder with 23.45 per cent. At Samson International Dr. Senthilverl has 29.2 per cent.
At Vallibel Power Erathna, Dr. Senthilverl has increased his stake during 3Q17. He bought his total stake up to 138 million shares as at last December and now has an 18.47 per cent stake.
At Lotus Hydro Power PLC he had 15.1 per cent in two separate accounts as at March 31 this year.
On February 23 this year, through Sampath Bank PLC, Dr. T. Senthilverl sold 11.1 per cent in Bogawantalawa Tea Estate PLC to Metropolitan Resource Holdings PLC from his 13.5 per cent obtained in February 2011.
At Amana Takaful he’s the second largest shareholder with 6.5 per cent of the total 10 per cent free float. At People’s Leasing, he has 1.96 million shares and he’s the 17th largest owner with 0.1 per cent.
Dr. T Senthilverl has 90,600 shares at Lanka Tiles which is 0.17 per cent and has 50,168,553 shares which is a 6.72 per cent at Vallibel Power Erathna. At Union Bank he’s the sixth largest shareholder with 1.5 per cent.
