FFSL conducts Grassroots Coach Education Programme in Bandarawela
View(s):The Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) in collaboration with Bandarawela Football League organised a Grassroots Coach Education Programme from June 13 to 16 in Bandarawela. The programme was conducted by the Technical Director and the Grassroots Manager of FFSL, Chaminda Steinwall at the St. Thomas’ College ground and the Public ground in Bandarawela.
A total of 30 participants took part in the Coach Education Programme, including Physical Education Teachers and club coaches of the Bandarawela District. On the final day of programme, approximately 250 schoolchildren participated in the Grassroots Festival representing St. Thomas’ College Bandarawela, Vipulananda Tamil Maha Vidyalaya, Tamil Central College Haputale, Sir Razik Fareed Maha Vidyalaya, Dharmapala Maha Vidyalaya, Diyathalawa MMV, Koslanda National College, St. Joseph College Bandarawela and Tamil Madya Maha Vidyalaya Bandarawela. The programme was coordinated by the Bandarawela Football League official and referee L.K.I. Udayakantha.
