Lyceum Wattala bags Under-15 shuttle title
View(s):Lyceum International School Wattala won the Under-15 Division ‘B’ Doubles Badminton Championship which was held at the courts of Richmond College in Galle.
The tournament witnessed an unbeaten Lyceum Wattala team which took on S. Thomas’ College Bandarawela in the finals and beat them 3-2. In the preliminary rounds Lyceum Wattala beat Bandarnayake College Gampaha and Carey College while in the quarter-final they beat President’s College Maharagama before beating Dharmapala College Pannipitiya in the semi-final. The All-Island Inter-School Badminton Doubles Championship was organised and conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Badminton Association and was held from June 22 to 25.
