Iggy Azalea takes to social media against her record label
View(s):Iggy Azalea is an angry rap artist. The Australian artist has taken to social media against her record label Def Jam to express her disappointment that no more singles are to be released from her much delayed new album ‘Digital Distortion’. The album was pushed back from 2016 to June this year but it has got pushed back again with Azalea saying it is not cancelled. Three singles have been released but they have failed to impact.

There are reports though unconfirmed that rapper Eminem is working on his ninth album with his long time producer Dr. Dre. Eminem’s last album came out in 2013.
Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’ has become the UK’s most streamed song of all time according to the Official Chart Company. The former No: 1 hit passed the 184 million mark on 4th July overtaking Drake’s record for his song ‘One Dance’. ‘Shape of You’ was release in January this year.
The long delayed biopic on the late Queen front man Freddie Mercury is to go ahead according to reports from the UK. Brian May is reported to be satisfied with actor Ramie Male who will play the part of Mercury. The making of the film was delayed for nearly 12 years following a dispute with the previous actor. The biopic on Freddie Mercury will be produced by Graham King and directed by Bryan Singer.
Madonna donated a wing of a hospital that has been named after adopted daughter Mercy James in Malawi. The soft opening of the Mercy James Institute of Paediatric Surgery & Intensive Care took place on 6th July at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Blantyre, the Malawi capital. Madonna has spent a lot on children’s care in the African nation since she stated adopting children from the country since 2006.
Britney Spears cancer care centre will open at the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation in the US. The singer has donated $1 million to the facility named after her which houses paediatric and adult services. The centre opens this month.

‘Despacito’ the cool sounding song by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee with Justin Bieber on the remix has emerged again as the UK’s No: 1 song. ‘Despacito’ managed to get 34,000 downloads and 7.5 million streams to reclaim to retain the No: 1 position on the UK singles chart for the eight non consecutive week. The reggaton track is 39 year old Luis Fonsi’s first global hit reaching No: 1 in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Mexico, Spain, Sweden and Sweden. For 40 year old Daddy Yankee the hit is very first career release. Justin Bieber’s remix took the song to the English speaking world. The song is the first global hit for both Puerto Rican artists Fonsi and Daddy Yankee whose real name is Ramon Rodriguez.
Calvin Harris scored a new top 10 UK with ‘Feels’ featuring Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry and Big Sean as it jumped from 21 to the No: 6 spot. The song is the fourth track from Calvin’s new album Funk Wav Bounces Vol.1’. ‘Feels’ is the 21st top 10 hit for Harris on home ground.
