Army cueists dominated proceedings at the Otter AC Open Snooker Tournament which is in progress now at the Otter AC billiards table in Colombo.
Army had five winners in B.A.S. Balapitiya, D.M.S.K. Dissanayake, M.K.G.S. Nandasiri, C.M.G. Chandrasekaran and W.D. Madusanka while the others to impress were S.R. Gunasekera (YMBA), T.G. Dulanjana (Air Force), S. Fernando (Starlight), K.A.S.S. Chandula (YMBA) and A.D.R.C. Alwis (AAC).
The win recorded by Dissanayake was the best of the Army players as he defeated an experience player in Anil Rohana of AAC. In the three matches played in the evening session saw M.P.K. de Costa (Air Force), Hashan Tillekeratne (AAC) and K.H. Sirisoma (SLPA) winning their matches.
The Otter AC Open Snooker tournament is being conducted by Otter AC which is being contested by 86 players which includes the reigning national senior and junior snooker champion M. Fazil of 8BPP, national runner up M.M. Mubeen of Army, national junior runner M.S.M. Rasheed of 8BPP and former national snooker national champion Susantha Boteju who is representing Sea Endless Club.

The quarter-finals are scheduled to be played on July25 and 26 and the two semi-finals and the final are slotted to be played on July 29. The tournament will be continued today.
