Arty wear Lulea Kallax launch today
Bright and vibrant, the Lulea Kallax t’shirt designs are sure to catch your eye. The brand emits a youthful aura and targets both teenagers and young adults. Founded in 2016 by Supun Ranaweerasinghe, the brand’s debut collection will feature art work by Lakshman Wimalasena. An amateur artist, Wimalasena is a professor at the Herriot Watt University in Scotland, and paints in his spare time.
“What makes our brand unique is the artwork,” says Ranaweerasinghe who founded the brand, explaining that he was drawn to Wimalasena’s acrylic knife painting portraits. Ranaweerasinghe believes that this is what will allow the brand to expand into global markets. Lulea Kallax hopes to act as a platform for Sri Lankan artists, by collaborating with them on clothing designs and offering them greater exposure for their work.
The brand will be officially launched today, Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the Park Street Mews in Colombo at 6.30 p.m. Currently Lulea Kallax clothing is available for purchase on their website www.luleakallax.com.
