Versatile and entertaining: Clifford is back

If you aren’t familiar with the name (a nod to England’s crooning “Bachelor Boy”), you would have seen the face or heard the rich baritone voice over the radio or on television reading news or on countless advertisements, compering or singing at numerous concerts and shows. The multi-faceted Clifford can only be truly labelled as a ‘performer’. On August 20, he will take the stage for a solo concert of his own.
“Clifford Richards in Concert” will feature the performer in his element – going back to his roots with singing. Backed by live music and several guest performers Clifford’s repertoire will include some of his favourite oldies from Engelbert Humperdinck to Sri Lankan classic pop to baila. Keeping with his diverse range of skills, audiences can expect more than just an evening of singing, with the show dedicated to music, laughter and overall entertainment.
“Clifford Richards in Concert” will be held on August 20 at 7 p.m. at the Bishop’s College Auditorium. Tickets are priced at Rs. 3000, Rs. 2000, Rs.1000 and Rs. 750 (balcony).
