PickMe launches ‘PickMe VIP”
View(s):Home-grown taxi service PickMe recently launched its newest feature ‘PickMe VIP’ which is a fleet chauffeur-driven, luxury cars that cater to premium clients and corporates.
“Ideal for anybody who wishes to make a grand appearance, be it at an international conference as an important delegate or a luxury wedding as a beautiful couple, PickMe VIP will be at your fingertips offering you a high-end prestigious ride for an affordable rate,” the company said.
This service aims to reduce the cost of high tariffs on car rentals in the existing market and offer customers the convenience of hailing a luxury Audi A6 or a Mercedes C180 via the app the same way they hail a three-wheeler or a car sans complicated processes or procedures. PickMe launched the service in Colombo initially on August 3 and plans to extend its luxury fleet of vehicles into other cities of the country very soon.
PickMe Chairman Ajit Gunawardena said, “We see a great demand for these types of vehicles, especially from the business fraternity. With this new feature customers get the opportunity of facilitating a comfortable and a luxury commute for their guests and dignitaries without the hassle of pre-booking, paying in advance etc which is normally the practice in relation to luxury vehicles”.
PickMe will be present at the upcoming Colombo Motor Show 2017 this month and will introduce the numerous features and benefits of the newly-introduced VIP fleet for participants. PickMe maintains a base of over half a million registered users of the PickMe app and a taxi fleet of over 10,000, including three wheelers, mini cars, cars and vans.
