A programme to clean up and paint schools damaged by the floods in Galle was launched by Southern Province Governor Hemakumara Nanayakkara with the participation of Provincial Education Minister Chandima Rasaputra. 41st World Scout Conference elects 1st Lankan member
Attorney-at-Law and Deputy Chief Commissioner of Sri Lanka Scout Association, Janaprith Fernando was elected a member of the 41st World Scout Conference, being held in Baku, Azerbaijan, where 166 member countries voted.
