Lyceum Wattala annex Under-17 girls’ cager title
View(s):Lyceum International School Wattala won the Under-17 Girls’ championship of the All-Island Schools Division ‘A’ Basketball Tournament, beating St. Joseph’s Girls’ School by 49-20 in the final.
The winning team’s Lubna Morseth was adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the Tournemanet while Hazeena Abdul was named the Best Offensive Player of the Tournament. The Division ‘A’ All-Island Basketball Tournament was organised by the Sri Lanka Schools Basketball Association and was held from August 9 to 12 at the Basketball courts of Lyceum International Wattala. The Deputy President of Sri Lanka Schools Basketball Association, S. Kurumbalapitiya graced the awards ceremony as the chief guest.
