Royalist Dinura emerge Kata and Kumite champion
View(s):Royalist P.K. Dinura R.P. Gunatilake was adjudged the champion in both Kata and Kumite (Under-9) at the All Island National Goju-Kai Karate Championship conducted recently by the International Karate Goju-Kai Association of Sri Lanka, affiliated to the International Karate-Do Goju-Kai Association Japan, Sri Lanka Karate Federation under the Ministry of Sports and Sri Lanka Schools Karate – Do Association-approved by the Ministry of Education.
Dinura Gunatilake, now 8-years old, competed in the 10th, 9th, 8th, Kyu and 7th Kyu- Under-9 Boy’s Kata Championship and 10th, 9th, 8th, and 7th Kyu in the Under-9 Kumite (Fighting) Championship. The event was held at the University of Colombo.
