Malays at Padang assist Boys Home

Sri Lanka Malay Association recently completed a meritorious project with the Islamic Boys Home for the Needy and Orphan Children in Ratmalana.

The boys were entertained with high tea, games and music. Each of them was provided with a bed sheet, pillowcase, bath towel and a tea mug.
Diana Rahaman Chairperson of the Women’s Affairs Committee, under which the project was initiated, said the Home was also provided with a new lawn mower so that the garden and surroundings could be better maintained for the children to have a safe a clean environment to play and relax.

The Sri Lanka Malay Association established in January 1922 is committed to such social service activities to uplift the quality of life of those deserving help.
