Felicitation ceremony of Toshiaki Kamada
View(s):The western orchestra of Ananda College recently held a felicitation ceremony along with a small concert at the primary section main hall in order to thank Mr. Toshiaki Kamada from the Japan International Cooperation (JICA) who trained the orchestra for nearly one year and was leaving for Japan.
Mr Kamada conducted the orchestra for the final time at this ceremony. He was awarded a token of appreciation by the Principal of Ananda College S. M. Keerthiratne and Deputy Principal Sarath Gunathilaka was also present at this event. Certificates were also given by the Principal to all students who had passed graded exams conducted by the Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) in London. Uthsara Malaweera Arachchi who became the first Sri Lankan in nearly half a decade to become an ATCL (Associate of the Trinity College in London) diploma holder was also felicitated by the Principal of Ananda College at this ceremony.
