2nd term as Commonwealth Countries League president

Nalini Paranavitane seen here with the head of the Commonwealth Queen Elizabeth II was unanimously elected to a second term as President of the Commonwealth Countries League. She has served as President Soroptimist International Colombo and South London Lewisham, and inaugurated a street children project, which is now amalgamated to the ongoing tsunami project in Sri Lanka. She inaugurated the Street Children Focus 2000 supported Young tenants support Lewisham, Project Sereeia water project, Asgiriya School Kandy, Titanzania Health Project, Needy Children’s support New Cross and supported the promotion of the rights of children.
In her capacity as President of the CCL she has initiated projects to develop the capacity of women to become financially independent.
