‘Kalana Mithuru – Poth Sumithuru’ to encourage the Reading habit
A programme to improve the reading habit among schoolchildren, known as ‘Kalana Mithuru – Poth Sumithuru’, was ceremonially launched by President Maithripala Sirisena as Chief Guest. Students received a collection of books from the President, to mark the event. Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam was present at the event held at the Presidential Secretariat.

Five Schools to reopen on September 21
