Come to the Cathedral Sunday fair
View(s):On the morning of Sunday, September 24, the Cathedral of Christ the Living Saviour on Bauddhaloka Mawatha (next to BMICH) will hold its annual Cathedral fair. Make your way to the Cathedral grounds at 9.30 a.m. after the Sunday Service and enjoy a variety of stalls.
The Sunday Fair is an annual event to raise funds for the ministry, mission and maintenance of the Cathedral and to strengthen and foster fellowship amongst its people.
Choose from fresh vegetables and fruits, costume jewellery and local handicrafts, clothing, shoes and much more. Plant lovers, there’s a special plant stall, and many more at very reasonable prices. The youngsters can get creative at the Face Painting stall and try their luck at games or just have fun at the treasure box bouncer.
The food and drink stalls have an array of tempting home-made goodies: waffles, thosai, wadai, hot dogs, baked goods and savouries for breakfast and sweets, cakes, achcharu, fruit juices, iced coffee and tea to keep you going till lunchtime when there’s delicious lamprais and yellow rice available (from 11.30 a.m.).
