Japanese Film Festival, one of the much awaited cinema events by film enthusiasts and cinema students, is now being held at the National Film Corporation theatre, 303, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 7.

Started on September 22, two Japanese films ‘Wood Job’ will be screened at 3 pm and ‘A Farewell to Jinu’ at 5.30 pm today, September 24.

This year’s festival features Japanese rural life, away from the hustle and bustle of the city as well as the natural beauty of Japan. The film in this year’s festival have received high acclaims in film festivals both in Japan and internationally.

Presented by the Embassy of Japan and the Japan Foundation in collaboration with the National Youth Services Council, National Film Corporation and the Ship for World Youth Alumni Association, the admission to the theatre is free of charge.
