Lions Ladies present ‘A Ray of Hope’ to raise funds
View(s):The Lion Ladies of Lions Clubs International District 306B2 will raise funds to donate a “Mammography unit “ to the Colombo Teaching Hospital at Ragama which is very essential for the early detection of breast cancer.
Screening for breast cancer is not affordable for many in private hospitals here and hence the members of this international humanitarian service organisation feel they should make this commitment to save lives.
To raise funds for this worthy cause, they will present a musical extravaganza “A Ray of Hope” on Tuesday, October 17 at 7 p.m. at Bishop’s College auditorium, Colombo 7.
Popular band “Rajeev and the Clan”, Sunil Perera of Gypsies, Umariya and Rajini Selvanayagam’s dancing troupe will entertain the audience. The Lion Ladies appeal to everyone to assist in this worthy humanitarian cause by way of donations, sponsorship and also by advertising in the souvenir which will be issued at the event.
