Designed to inspire
Each one of us knows of an inspiring woman, be it a mother, sister, boss, friend or mentor. One who dares to persevere against the challenges thrown at them, whose strength awes us. It was this strength and inspiration that Amanté used as their muse for their 2017 Autumn/ Winter Collection. Amante the premium lingerie brand, unveiled their ‘Muse’ Collection at an event held at the ARQ Style House in Colombo on September 21.
The new collection included under-wired and non wired lingerie sets, one piece and two piece swimsuits as well as beach cover-ups. The collection featured embossed mono-coloured floral prints, marbled prints, and delicate lace. The colours featured seemed subdued yet rich, giving the collection a look of stylish elegance.
Speaking at the event, General Manager of Amanté Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, Sasanka Bandara described the collection as one which draws inspiration from young women and juxtaposes that strength with femininity.
Thespian and animal rights activist Shanuki De Alwis also spoke at the event, chosen by the brand as an example of the inspiring woman this collection celebrates. Addressing those gathered Shanuki stated that she believed that it isn’t the loudest or boldest that inspire, but rather those who chose to be resilient and empower others, though they may do so silently.
