Mulatiyana Tea Factory fetches all time high price
View(s):At this week’s Colombo tea auction, an OP1 grade tea from Mulatiyana Tea Factory fetched an all-time record price of Rs. 1,300 per kg.
The stock of tea was purchased by Quality Ceylon Tea Pvt Ltd, and was traded through Ceylon Tea Brokers Plc at the weekly Colombo Tea Auctions.
Mulatiyana Hills tea factory is situated in Mulatiyana in Matara and managed by K.M.P.G. Mahinda and Malinda Padmasiri. The factory has modern machinery with automation in the processing chain. The management takes a very personal interest in product quality and ensures that its teas match up to the highest quality standards, broking sources said.
