Lanka ‘A’ firmly in control
View(s):Sri Lanka A is firmly in control with a lead of 370 runs at stumps on day two in their second unofficial Test against West Indies ‘A’ at Florence Hall.
An unbeaten 85 by Roshen Silva and 60 from first inning’s centurion Dasun Shanaka saw Sri Lanka reaching 213 for 6 in their second essay after bowling hosts out for 137 in the first innings.
Sri Lanka A scored 294 all out on the first day. Shanaka and Silva also involved in a 106 sixth wicket partnership to revive the innings after Sri Lanka slumped to 86 for the loss of five wickets.
Earlier left-arm spinner Malinda Pushpakumara in partnership with the rest of the bowlers ripped out the heart of the West Indies ‘A’ middle order to bowl them out for a paltry score. Pushpakumara had figures of 6-52 while Shehan Jayasuriya picked up two wickets for eight runs. West Indies ‘A’ won the first match.
