Cinematic celebration for Korea- Lanka Friendship
Celebrating the landmark 40 years diplomatic ties with Sri Lanka, the Korean Embassy has organised a series of traditional and cultural events including a film festival at the National Film Corporation.
With the aim of providing the Sri Lankan film lovers with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Korean culture and society through the medium of contemporary film, the Korean Film Festival will be held from November 17 to 20.
The festival will feature six Korean films namely ‘My Brilliant Life at 4.30 pm on Nov. 17, ‘The Thieves’ at 4 pm and ‘The Suspect’ at 5.30 pm on Nov 18, ‘The King of Jokgu’ at 2 pm and ‘Very Ordinary Couple’ at 5.30 pm on Nov 19 and ‘My Paparotti’ at 5.30 pm on Nov. 20.
The film festival will be a part of ‘Korea Week’ which includes dance performances, a speech contest, famous taekwondo championship and screening of a TV documentary on bilateral ties tittled Friendship of four Decades.
