International Science Week from Nov.10-17
View(s):An International Science Week, titled, ‘Science for Global Understanding’, has been declared from Nov.10-17, by the Ministry of Science, Technology & Research, to mark World Science Day. The Ministry said other institutions under the ministry have planned Educational programmes on the use of Science to improve social activities, reduce poverty and improve technology.
The initial programme was held on Friday (10) at DS Senanayaka College, with Science, Technology & Research Minister Susil Premajayantha as Chief Guest and the participation of 1,200 students. A ‘Walk” to mark the events, was held yesterday from Technical College to Viharamahadevi Park, with the participation of Scientists, Govt officials and schoolchildren.
