Suren appointed Honorary Consul for Vanuatu

Suren Abeywickrema has been appointed the Honorary Consul for Vanuatu in Sri Lanka. Mr. Abeywickrema received his appointment from the Vanuatu Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation and External Trade Bruno Leingkone.

“ Sri Lanka and Vanuatu are both island countries and there are sectors especially in tourism where the Sri Lankan government can help by attracting foreign investors from Sri Lanka to come to Vanuatu and boost this industry . I will help facilitate business people in Vanuatu to meet up with the business community of Sri Lanka and vice versa,” Mr. Abeywickrema told the Daily Post newspaper in Vanuatu.

Mr. Abeywickrema, a Chartered Marketer and Management Accountant is CEO and Jt. Managing Director of Paradise Group which operates in Sri Lanka, Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands and Japan. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM, UK), the Australian Institute of Managemnt and has an MBA from Australia.
