A fine knock of 136 inclusive of 12 boundaries and eight sixes by Supeshala Jayatilleke and a half ton by Shanuka Dulaj helped Moors SC to come out on top against Ragama CC at the end of the first day’s play in their Premier Emerging League Tournament game at Braybrooke Place, yesterday
The pair put on a valuable stand of 113 runs for the fifth wicket enabling Moors SC end the day with a formidable score of 335 for 8.
Dilhan Cooray’s knock of 124 saw Badureliya CC making a score of 259 against SLPA CC who was struggling on 35 for 4 in the match played at Bandaragama.
Shashin Dilranga and Harsha Vithana hit contrasting knocks of 88 and 81 for BRC as they put up a score of 268 against Panadura SC who ended day on 42 for noloss.
In the match between Galle CC and Kalutara TC at the Galle Stadium Kalutara TC thanks to two solid knocks by Sameera Sandamal and Rusiru Rajapakse ended up with a score of 292. Galle CC in their turn facing 12 overs scored 37 for no loss. The matches will be continued today.
