Top sportsmen felicitated at Isipathana Colours Night

Top sportsmen, who brought pride and performed well for their school, were felicitated at the annual Colours Night Ceremony of Isipathana College, which was held at the Colombo University New Arts Theatre recently.

Among those who received awards rugby player Harith Bandara and cricketer Salinda Ushan Perera took the spotlight by claiming the two important recipients.

Bandara was awarded with the Best Overall Performance for the Year 2016 while Salinda won the similar award for 2015. Cricketer Leshan Amarasinghe was named the Up and Coming Player of the Year 2916 while chess player Tuan Eshan won the same award for 2015. A total of 12 top awards were presented from among hundreds who won colours.

Awards were presented by Major General Ajith Rupasinghe, the Guest of Honour at the event while Isipathana College Principal Premasiri Epa, Deputy Principal Gamini Ramyakumar, School Perfect of Games Sanath Illeperuma and Old Boys Association Vice President of Sports, Saman Manchanayaka were also present at the event.
