Sri Lanka hosts Asian Packaging Federation (APF) summit
View(s):The annual sessions of the Asian Packaging Federation (APF) will be held in Colombo on December 10-14 hosted by member organisation, the Sri Lanka Institute of Packaging (SLIP).
Conducting the APF event in Sri Lanka this year is of great significance to the packaging fraternity here as the SLIP President Rohan Victoria, who is the senior Vice President of APF, is expected to be elected as the next President of the Federation and will assume duties from January 2018 onwards.
Mr. Victoria will be the third person from Sri Lanka to adorn this prestigious position, CDC Events, the event organiser of next week’s event said in a media release.
This year’s events include meetings of three working committees two of which will be chaired by Dharmatilake Ratnayake, a past President of Asian Packaging Federation and the Sri Lanka Institute of Packaging. The events are the “Judging of Asia Star Awards Contest” for excellence in packaging for which around 200 entries have reached the local institute; the meeting of the Board of Administration and the General assembly of the Federation.
