Berkeley to set up business school for needy students

The government has approved a proposal to establish an internationally recognised college of business in Sri Lanka.
Cabinet Media Spokesman Gayantha Karunathilake said that Berkeley University of California in USA has agreed to establish the business college as a non profit organisation which also provides opportunities to students with economic difficulties.

The joint proposal was made by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Minister of Higher Education Lakshman Kiriella and Minister of Technology and Research Susil Premajayantha.
