View(s):St. Joseph’s College Colombo emerged Boy’s runners-up of ‘The Papare’ Under-19 Basketball Championship 2017, concluded recently at the Henry Pedris Courts in Colombo. They were beaten by a forceful Royal College Colombo team, who went on to clinch the championship.
Led by Shenal Samuel, the team included Eshitha Suradin, Panduka Gajamange, Ishara Perera, Imalka Anjana, Shamin Fernando, Thishan Abeysekara, Deriffer Marasinghe, Shehan Fernando, Janith Thenuja, Shevin Fernando and Chamath Gimhana. The Josephian skipper was named the Best Player of the Tournament.
