Christmas-eve carol service at St. Michael’s and All Angels, Polwatte
View(s):The Service of Nine Lessons and Carols together with the blessing of the crib at St Michael’s and All Angels, Polwatte, Colombo 3 will be held on Christmas Eve, Sunday December 24 at 6 p.m.
The service will start by the singing of “Once in Royal David’s City” and will end with the recessional hymn “O Come all ye Faithful” during the singing of which the choir will be joined by the congregation at the Crib, which will then be blessed and the children will place their gifts to be given to the needy children of the parish.
Carols for choir and congregation will include all the popular traditional ones. The choir will be under the direction of Dr. Lalith Perera and at the organ will be Denham Pereira, All are welcome.
